A new and even more powerful ARCHIBUS - Version 17.2 - will arrive on November 14th and deliver a long list of enhancements that will make you more productive and your organization more profitable.

You'll get more built-in business intelligence with incorporated KPIs, and fast Adobe® Flash-based drawings for accelerated interactivity and data views. Breeze through projects with a range of new wizards and dashboards. This upgrade also provides the access and framework to deploy the new Web-based, single-point-of-contact Real Estate Portfolio Administration and Lease Administration applications.

The Portfolio Manager can switch between Land, Structures and Buildings portfolio analyses or obtain consolidated capital transaction information using the tabs at the top of the view.

Web-based Real Estate Portfolio Administration helps determine the ability of the portfolio to support the organization's strategy through a set of interactive graphical tools. These tools not only show the portfolio performance through key indicators but also provide the ability to analyze the data through benchmarking, trend analysis, projections, and drill-downs.

The Lease Administration application, also Web-based, streamlines the lease information-gathering process, presents lease information in an intuitive interface, issues personalized alerts, and assists in the analysis of recurring costs according to user preferences. This application dovetails with the Real Estate Portfolio Administration application to keep lease and real estate information on all your buildings, structures, and land completely synchronized.

In addition to those two new applications, there are many enhancements to other ARCHIBUS applications such as Reservations, Service Desk, On Demand Work, Design Management with Overlay for AutoCAD and Revit, as well as to the core ARCHIBUS platform. They make data collection, analysis, visualization, and information-sharing faster and more useful to users coping with a wide range of business and environmental challenges.

Contact your ARCHIBUS Business Partner for further information on how the V.17.2 release can benefit your organization.

Corporate Real Estate/Facilities Managers (CRE/FM) Give Recommendations for Improving Stock Price
by 5%

Anyone who didn't attend the Real Estate Center of Excellence session at the 2008 International ARCHIBUS Users' Conference missed one of the more thought-provoking - and entertaining - exchanges of ideas moderated by Ernst & Young Director of Corporate Real Estate Mark Gibson and ARCHIBUS Real Estate Center of Excellence Director Larry Simpson.

Part management clinic and part focus group, the session generated the kind of spirited interaction and business insights that could, in the opinion of attendees, theoretically increase a company's stock price by 5% and make CRE/FM managers' lives easier. World’s Oldest Bank Saving $2.4M in 18 Months
Using ARCHIBUS

Proving once again that an organization is never too old to learn new tricks, the world's oldest bank, Italy's Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena, is using the latest applications from ARCHIBUS to enhance its ancient reputation with a major business process re-engineering initiative. The bank's business re-engineering project, in fact, is the subject of a white paper now appearing on FMLink, a portal devoted to better facility management practices. The bank's initiative is expected to save an estimated $2.4 million (USD) within 18 months of its implementation.

Aside from having a fascinating history in the financial world, the bank is also making an historic investment in IWMS technology by implementing a wide range of ARCHIBUS applications. Those applications will streamline operations at what is Italy's third largest financial institution, with branches throughout Europe and the world. Read more.
