Oklahoma State University Cuts Asbestos Inspection Costs with TEAMS Clean Building
To comply with federal mandates more efficiently, the Oklahoma State University (OSU) Asbestos Abatement Department realized it had to abandon its decentralized, paper-based system of compiling asbestos information. With the assistance of OSU’s Office of Facilities Information, the school deployed Web-based ARCHIBUS TEAMS Clean Building to support asbestos management reporting and regulatory compliance at the university’s 5-campuses and 11.5 million square feet of space, occupying 780 buildings in four cities. That move has cut costly re-inspections at the University’s sprawling campuses. It has also reinforced the University’s appreciation of the range of applications and flexibility of ARCHIBUS for environmental and other facilities and infrastructure needs.
